I just received my copy of Select Peaks of Greater Yellowstone and am completely blown away. 512 pages of eye candy for the climber and ski mountaineer! This book is as guide books should be--incorporating history, geology, and technical data for ascentionists and descentionists.
If you tend to be inspired by photographs of snowy white couloirs on impressive mountains, and if those pictures add to your list of "to-do's" be very aware that this book will only make you want to quit whatever you are doing this winter and get out climbing and skiing.
Congrats and many thanks Mr. Turiano!
